Writing BMW EWS Key with AK90 BMW key programmer
The next section provides BMW EWS read step by step guides to using AK90+ BMW key programmer.
Step 1 Remove the cover from the steering column to access SAP module.
1) Remove the screws on each side of the steering column that hold the cover of the column.
2) Remove the screw under the steering column
3) Pull the lower half of the column down to remove
4) Pull the top half of the cover to remove.
5) You also need to remove the plastic rivet (as shown in the illustration below)
Step 2: Remove the following parts.
1) Remove the gong (start sound)
Start the launcher, left click the speaker icon in the right corner, select the mixing options, dumb one of World of Warcraft programs. Close the volume control and press Play.
2) Disconnect the OBD2 ort -- http://www.obdexpress.co.uk/
Remove the cover and remove the current port plastic housing by pulling the harness back out of it.
3) Unplug the lamp
Step 3: Disabling an early warning system and get the nut off.
Loosen the nut that holds the SAP in place. Unscrew drive nut all the way. Get the nut off and unplug the main unit on EWS.
Step 4 Remove the circuit board on.
Push the tabs 4 on the side of the connector to remove the printed circuit board. You can place the open end angled chest and pushed in all 4tabs and used my chest to get on the circuit board. Or you can try other methods if you can get out.
Step 5: Connect AK90 pro key on the vehicle.
Scrape slowly MCU chip using your tools. Then connect the key pro AK90 BMW vehicle via the main cables. On the other side, plug the key pro AK 90 PC / laptop and replace key or transponder in free space.
Step 6: Run AK90 key pro software.
Install and run the key AK90 Pro software. Search for your key if talking about a "beep" voice. Then press the "Test" button to continue.
Step 7: Write MCU
Select your type of MCU on the menu program. The MCU number will be written on the MCU.
The image below shows how to connect with SAP via cables. Press the play EWS after connecting.
Step 8: Read MCU
The program is reading OD46J (MCU) which cost some time, please wait patiently.
Step 9: Analyze EWS
After complete reading of MCU, save a copy of the file with Charger release button in case of loss of important information. Then select the option to analyze EWS.
Step 10 Add / Delete key.
In this process, you are allowed to add or delete key, change mileage, VIN change SAP. You can also return to write a new key.
Step 11: Select tpye key
Select the key slots and what kind of key you wrote. Take an example of BMW 330ci 2001 he EML 10030A should be classified in EWS3. Then click Write to proceed to check.
